Why homeowners remove popcorn texture
Popcorn — also called acoustic or cottage cheese texture — was common in older homes. Many owners now want it gone because it collects dust, is hard to clean, and looks dated next to a remodel. If testing shows asbestos, a qualified abatement contractor needs to handle that material first.
